Watermark is a text, pattern or logo which appears over the image to identify the owner. Watermarks are transparent and difficult to remove. Difficulties in removing watermarks are depended on the image, color, position, and size. There are several tutorials available on the web to remove watermarks from photos using Photoshop CS6. Most of them are old and they are complicated to learn.
So I decided to write a tutorial about an easy way to remove watermarks from photos using Photoshop CS6. Make use of these simple steps to remove the watermark.
Remove watermark in Photoshop CS6:
Photoshop Creative Suite 6 or CS6 includes few handy tools which help to remove watermark from the photo.
This is the sample image I am going to use for this tutorial. The logo and the text are at the top right corner of the image. Let’s see how to remove it.
Step 1: Open the image in Photoshop CS6 and select the “clone stamp tool” from the Left side toolbar or you can simply press “S” to select it.
Step 2: Hold “Alt” button on your keyboard and take sample near the subject (watermark). After that, you start to apply the cloned area by dragging cursor above the watermark.
Note: Always take the sample near to the subject
Step 3: Select the “Healing Brush Tool” from the Left side toolbar or you can simply press “J” to select it.
Step 4: Hold “Alt” button on your keyboard and take sample near the subject area. After that, start to Healing the area by dragging cursor right and left.
You can use “Ctrl” + “Z” to undo and repeat the step. Here is the final image after removing the watermark. “Ctrl” + “S” to Save the image and change the format into jpeg while saving.
Now, I have successfully removed the watermark in this image. Follow these steps to remove watermark from photos. Try to edit with our site photo editor
